Used Mylen Spiral Staircase Spotted at Long Island Yard Sale

I was at a yard sale this weekend in Southold and the homeowner had a used Mylen spiral staircase sitting in his yard.  It has been sitting outside for two years so the oak treads would have to be replaced.  There is some light rust over about half of the unit.  I do believe it is complete with the exception of the 10″ base plate.  By looking at the Mylen website, I suspect this is the Builder’s Econo Model.  

Initially I was talking to the seller (he is someone known to my distant family/cousins) about the possibility of my taking this and trying sell it at a mark up.  After thinking about this, I do not think there would be enough in it for me – so I have decided to pass this find along to Brownstoners; I know people occasionally look for these.  The seller would like to get $600.00 for this unit.  He may have a little wiggle room, but if you are interested, please don’t beat him up.  I do not want to post his contact info here, but if you email or call me, I will give you his phone number.    I am not going to make anything off of this sale and I am not interested in installing this thing; I can make stair treads for it though if the buyer is stuck.
