where to buy lime-based mortar?

the forum archives sent me on a wild goose chase today.  where can I buy lime-based mortar?  Don’t say all-boro masonry supply, they no longer carry it.

THANKS!

Thanks pig-three.  Yes I pulled some aluminum siding off the back of our wood-frame house.  The lower level is brick.  The mortar has turned to dust and could be removed so easily I figured I might as well try it myself.

You need to buy the components and mix yourself.  Don’t think you can by a premixed bag “just add water type”.

Think you are probably looking to repair old (pre cement) mortar joints.  Do not use portland cement in your mix if you are.
