Repointing fireplace

I am looking for a chimney or mortar tradesperson who can repoint roughly six square feet of my firebox and surrounding fireplace.  The buildilng has settled over the years, and the prior owner did a very poor job of patching the cracks in the mortar.  I would prefer someone who specializes in small jobs like this or is willing to take a smaller project.  Does anyone have experience working with larger outfits (A&A, Big Apple, etc.) on something like this?  Thanks!

Definitely talk to Manny LaSalle: 917 292 1825\. He’s just finished lining 3 chimneys, building two fire boxes and installing a mantel for me. His price was a little bit lower than A&A, and I’ve found him to be very honest. Great guy.

I was also very pleased with Andre’s work. He had to return to fix a problem which he did promptly and thoroughly — it actually required two visits because the cause wasn’t immediately obvious. Handling call backs professionally is a sign of a good tradesman in my opinion.

I highly recommend Andre from A&A which is a small honest business in a very crooked industry.  He’s a fireplace and chimney pro.
