Looking for worn/reclaimed brick for outdoor retaining wall- any ideas?
We are building a 2′ high retaining wall for a backyard planter. We are pretty specific and picky about the look of the brick- more orange than red and more worn than new, but still whole, not crumbling bricks. We’ve looked at BIG and Craigslist– any other ideas of where to find such a specific brick look?

Have you gone out to Glenwood Masonry on Glenwood Rd. Yes, they are new brick, but they have most of their stock built in samples outside, so you can see how it weathers. I discovered this place when I needed a lot of “old” stock bricks for a red brick house in Landmark Fort Greene I was working on , I found a perfect match (well almost). They have certainly weathered in so that most people cannot tell the old from the new.
