Where to search for lighting fixtures?

Hi All, We need to replace a lot of fixtures, our style is clean/industrial or simple period pieces that would fit in a 100+ year old house. Are there stores you would recommend that we can visit in person? I am finding lots of stuff online, but I would love to be able to see it in person. Thanks!

Bowery, for a few blocks south of Delancey, has lots of lighting stores. Just walk up and down that strip and you should be able to find examples of lots of stuff as well as well as at least one shop that does some custom work.
