speed of washing machine

Hallo,

I have a maching machine with maximum speed of 1400 rpm.

But I am afraid that sometimes the speed is automatically reduced to lower limit. I don´t like this, I want the my washing machine always reaches the maximum speed because I spent a lot of money for it.

is there a simple way to measure the speed of the drum? stroboscope light can be a way? or other ways?

some machines are shipped with large carriage bolts in the back that protect the drum from damage during shipping.  they are often not removed, and the machine should not be operated with them engaged.  they can look like they are part of the machine, so it is hard to tell.  read the installation manual and check to see that anything of this nature has been removed correctly.

Well, to answer the question, trivial though it is, the max speed is achievable only with a perfectly balanced load (1400 is HIGH!) and the machine’s sensors will reduce speed as needed for un-optimally balanced loads. Quite normal.
