Seeking Brooklyn Brownstone Buyers' Lawyer

Anybody know a Buyers’ lawyer who is familiar with Brooklyn brownstones?  Seeking these qualities: quick, efficient, even-tempered, problem-solving, available on some weekends & evenings, not always at closings (perhaps they work in a firm)?  Our current lawyer is too “old school”, high strung & stressed out and seems unable to close a deal.

I recommend you Apryl Hand (Lewis and Hand). They did a wonderful job in covering everything for the purchase of our limestone building. Please google them and you can see reviews. We were dealing with crooks and we did not need to go to court because the lawyer had covered everything in the contract. They are also very available and prompt to respond. we closed within 14 days of the mortgage being greenlighted (though it took 90 days to get that as a combination), what the hell was your lawyer doign that took him 2 months, i’d be kicking his door in way before this.

Yes–Kurt Roth of Dickler & Roth. Office is 212-962-2000\. He knows the Bklyn RE scene and knows houses. He just handled our house purchase. We found him very responsive, easygoing (in a good way–not a “mountains-out-of-molehills” type), very fair-priced, and nice to work with. We didn’t have an unusually complicated deal at all, but the seller’s atty was totally MIA, so we definitely had an opportunity to test Roth’s equilibrium. His partner, Richard Dickler, actually attended our closing at the last minute, and he was a pleasure to work with for those few hours, too. If you call, feel free to tell him I sent you.

Whatever you do, do not hire Ed Fusco. He was the sellers’ attorney on our recent purchase, and he was terrible.  Added nearly two months to our closing date due to his lax turn around on the contract, inabililty to complete paperwork in a timely fashion and other incredible acts of negligence.  The sellers were as irate as we were, and he never once acknowledged his discrepancies.
