Shower head in the middle of the tub solutions

We’re redoing our bathroom, and I’m not sure how to remedy this problem. The shower head is smack in the middle of the tub. See photos. We can’t really put it at the end of the tub, because of the window on that end. Are there any easy solutions to this problem? I haven’t discussed it with the contractor yet, but would love to get an idea of possibilities.

What is the problem with the current set up that you mention having to remedy? Are you leaking between the lip of the tub and the wall?

I’m not really understanding why it is a problem. With That sort of hand shower, you can get longer hoses and install a vertical rail to place it just about anywhere on the wall. There are many setups that will work without redoing the main plumbing. grohe makes nice ones and i believe a number of more period looking ones are available from a number of suppliers

What about the other end? How about rotating the tub or doing a shower on the wall where the window is? Rain showerhead from the ceiling?
