Hi Brownstoners, We have been an avid viewer of the site since I found out about it six months ago.  Upon going into contract on our first home purchase, we decided to take the plunge and become a site member.  I have watched countless hours of HGTV programs, along with clocking many hours on houzz.com and pinterest and have a strong sense of what we want yet open to suggestions. We are in contract on a coop in Midwood (Realtor claims Midwood, the wife and I call it Flatbush).  It doesn’t require much structural changes outside of removing a non load bearing (engineer/inspector claims non load bearing) wall in the kitchen to open things up and and a bit more functionality to the kitchen. Floorplan included for reference below, we would love to get a few recommendations on a reasonable and equitable General contractor and or Architect with an eye for detail.
