Need help with replacing cabinet pulls in kitchen
Hello all,
My kitchen cabinet pulls are outdated. I tried painting them silver to update them, but they just stick out like sore thumbs now. Then I tried to buy replacements, but can’t find any with holes that match the existing holes. I started to drill new holes but they’re so close to old holes, it’s precarious to say the least. Does anybody have a suggestion short of filling some of the holes and having to paint the cabinets. They’re stained medium/dark and I’d like them to stay that way!
Thanks a lot,
John

I had my old original cast iron pulls replated (nickel) by Ace Metal Plating in Long Island City. They look great.

Check out VanDykes — they have pulls with lots of different sizes

what wiley said. you have to measure the distance between the centers of the two holes on your old pulls. then go googling.

Check out Hardware Restoration. We bought the coolest knobs and pulls there when we did our kitchen over in 2006\. Found them in stock at the Mall at Short Hills in Joisey. You can go on line too. The ones we found weren’t on line and were being discontinued so we got a great deal. Right place right time kinda thing.

You” have to do some research via online or a very specialized hardware store and find pulls that match your current holes. They typically come in standard sizes although some sizes have fallen out of favor over time. They can still be found but require some research
