Can I recycle a stainless steel kitchen sink?
Hello all,
I finally replaced my old stainless steel sink with a acrylic sink. Everything is fine now. I hate to just toss it to the dumpster. Do you know if recycling firms will take my used sink?
Thanks a lot.

When you say recycling, if you are looking for someone who will take it and re-use it as a sink, I’d recomend Build it Green, but they won’t pay you anything for it, it’s a donation. If you want to scrap it, just about any scrap yard takes stainless. You won’t get much for it that way either though, maybe a dollar or two. If you put it out front of your building, it won’t last long before one of the roving metal collectors scoops it up (at least it wouldn’t last long in my neighborhood, yours may be different, but I doubt it).
