18" bathroom vanity

Hi Everybody My bathroom project is stalled because the vanity we got has 22″ depth and it just wouldn’t go through the door. There is a wall protuding right in front of the door and it’s getting stuck. Anyone in Brooklyn area has suggestions on where to go look for vanities with 18″ depth? Lowe’s and HD don’t seem to have any and custom orders are super expensive. thanks in advance.

Ikea ONLY sell 18″ vanities ….I know because i wanted to undermount a sink but undermount sinks only come 15″….thereby needing to buy something other than Ikea.

Yeah, and even if Ikea’s are likely to be flat packed – which means if you want the deeper vanity in the bathroom, because there is room for it in there, but it just won’t fit through the narrower space by the doorway, you can build the deeper vanity in place, after the parts have been moved into the the bathroom.  You could also just have a carpenter build one in place for you out of wood, or whatever material you choose.

If they are not available, you could improvise by making the vanity out of a 12″ deep wall cabinet, 24″ high which could be cut to accept the sink on the top and built out from the wall for 18″.  Put a countertop on it and you’ll never know the difference
