Insurance Broker or Insurer for Smaller Older Coop?

In the past few years our annual insurance bill for the basic commercial policy for our building has gone up substantially. Now, the company we have been using is using new underwriting guidelines and won’t cover any building built prior to 1940 (?). We sent them proof that the building had been gut-renovated in the 70s, but that didn’t satisfy them. The broker we have been working with found a company (National Union) willing to write the policy but the rate is about 25% higher than last year. Can anyone recommend a broker that has insured older smaller (16 units in our case) buildings in 2015 at what seems to be a reasonable rate? BTW, we used to use Brownstone and found that they became too pricey and their customer service was horrible. Perhaps, they’ve changed?
