Looking for a great Heating and A/C company for my new brownstone!
I am moving into a new brownstone and looking for a company / person to look at a new heating system (currently forced heat) and no A/C at all.

You first need to spend some time to think about what kind of heating system, A/C system you want to live with. It is a major expense to install and something you will have to live with for a long time, it is not like buying a refrigerator, if you don’t like it you can change it out! Do not think about the cost initially. The cost of installation, set up what ever will always be too much, but the cheaper construction costs with heat.. the more it costs to run and maintain it, in my opinion. As for central A/C, after doing it in one house, I would never do it again….. I would go with strategically placed window air conditioners, assuming you are in an area that you can open your windows and enjoy the cross breeze occasionally? As for heating system: circulating hot water with cast iron radiators every time, yes costs the most to install, but by far the best to live with and the most efficient to run and maintain. Do not call contractors until you have done your home work, they are all salesman that sell you what it is that they have to sell. Know what you want first..
