Zillow requires rental listing to be posted via StreetEasy?

Zillow is not letting me list my rental on their website unless I post it through StreetEasy and it syndicates to Zillow, is there anyway around this?

I posted it once already on StreetEasy first but honestly was not impressed with the quality of the applicants I received. Oddly I had better quality applicants through Zillow and Craigslist. Posting on Zillow is a lot cheaper than StreetEasy but now it looks like Zillow already see’s my prior post from StreetEasy and is requiring me to renew the post there… stating posts in NYC are required to be posted through StreetEasy… which appears to be BS. Since if you try matching up the posts on StreetEasy and Zillow for some NYC neighborhoods, Zillow definitely shows some rental listings that aren’t on StreetEasy.

Will creating a new Zillow account help as a workaround or is this really just the way it is?

@resident2, correct. i paid the streeteasy fee and it published also published the listing on zillow and trulia. this was last year, so not sure if things have changed.

Streeteasy, Zillow & Trulia all belong to the same company. They have created a monopoly & are now cashing in. It is all about charging fees..
