I’ve seen Wood Zone recommended here several times — was just about to try them myself. Think they’re in the Brownstoner directory.

More than a few people have commented that their prices are reasonable too but on Brownstoner I always take that term with a grain of salt.

You could talk to Pepe at 646 578-7276. I met him at one of my job sites in BedStuy where he was restoring and refinishing the original entry door and also stripping and refinishing all the wood pocket shutters. He hasn’t worked for me personally but the work I saw there was quite good.
