Window price?
Hi all, we need to replace all 12 windows in our house. The windows are pretty standard sized 35″x65″. Windowfix in Sunset Park quoted about $900 per window + install, for aluminum trim; about $1600 per window for wood interior/aluminum outside; about $1350 per window for better noise reduction. The brand for all but the wood interior is Crystal. The wood interior windows are Marvin. (I think.) Any advice on whether these prices are in line with what others have paid would be much appreciated. Thanks a lot.

To answer your question: doubling the cost – no, not unusual – that’s pretty standard. But get a few more prices.
Like Randolph said, 400 series are nice. A-Series is a good one too.

Marvin and Andersen would be my top choices.

we put in Andersen 400 series (some double hung, some casement) and they are great. Wood interior with a vinyl exterior.
the 3′ x 6′ double hung cost about $450 each.

I recommend you talk to Windows We Are – at least for a second quote. We’ve used them a few times and they seem pretty decent. They have a showroom on 5th ave in the 90s.

Crystal Windows are fine for the rear of the building. You might want to consider a better option for the front. It seems like they are doubling the cost of the window for their installation price.
