Window boxes

I’ve searched the forum and still can’t determine if window boxes are OK to install on landmarked brownstone/block? Has anyone had issues, and aside from LPC — are there best practices for installation, so brackets don’t ruin brownstone, etc. And on a related note, where can I find LPC approved iron window guards? Thx

There is no such thing as Landmark approved iron window guards.
All attachments to the facade have to be approved, they will not approve if you cannot show that something of the same style & design was there as part of the original architechture.
