Window Bars

Has anybody here removed window bars themselves?
The lowest floor has the base of the bars set in concrete in the front. All the rest of the bars are screwed in.
I am thinking of doing it myself with an angle grinder.
Looking for advice or experiences?

And wear safety glasses. Be aware. You can get iron in your eyes that can unkowingingly remain there and if it does, you cannot have an mri. Every time i go for an mri, because i grind and cut iron without goggles, i have to get an orbital xray (more radiation on .my brain). If they find a spec of iron, no mri.

If you use an angle grinder, be sure to mask your windows. Otherwise the sparks will damage the glass.
