will a stop work order prevent me from getting another permit for unrelated work

I have a swo my property but I don’t want to address it. If I want to get a permit to remodel the facade of my property do I need to fix the SWO even though its unrelated?

It won’t keep you from getting a permit, but you won’t be able to do any work if you a have a full stop work order. If you have a partial stop work order, then it would depend on whether the newly permitted work would be prohibited by the partial. Depending on why you got the stop work order, you may be able to file to convert the full stop work order into a partial stop work order so that you can continue work in areas unrelated to the SWO. Talk to your architect and expeditor about this possibility.
