Can Adriatic Wood Products help? They have a massive amount of lumber and molding ( they manufacture the molding for Dykes ). They’re on Pitkin Ave. in Brooklyn.

I can’t recommend Hicks enough — for years I’ve been making the trek out there from Brooklyn/Manhattan to the Island because of their selection. It has a devoted following.

Just be prepared that if you head out there now, apparently they are in the middle of a huge renovation/expansion — by next year it is going to be absolutely amazing but it might be a bit of a show right now.

Either way, they may be able to order the Japanese black pine for you even if they don’t have it or point you in right direction.

You could try looking it up on the Monrovia website and see if they suggest local retailers. Hicks Nurseries on Long Island is one of the bigger ones and might have it.
