Where to buy interior doors?

We need a few interior “slab” doors for our rental unit. Nothing fancy, was thinking of a traditional shaker style solid 5 panel door, or else just a flat slab door. For some reason Home Depot and Lowes seem to have very low stock right now with many weeks of wait time…

Anyone know any place in Brooklyn or thereabouts were I could find these? I tried searching Google and Yelp but the stores I found seem to just have cheesy contemporary designs.

By the way, brosco publishes a price book online with their products. You can maybe get 10-20% off that if you buy multiple or use a discount dealer. However it makes it easy to figure out which doors fit your budget rather than waiting a day for a quote. Dykes has some other price books too, they may show you if you stop by, like reeb.

Brosco has a few a 5 panel doors. They all end with a suffix of “55.” I like TruStile

Yes, @urbandad I could go for a flush or one panel door if it’s cheaper… and will check out the Brosco doors. Agreed about the soldi core doors, I was planning on that. 🙂

Brosco catalog doors can be had pretty cheap, but I don’t think they have a 5 panel shaker door, but if panel design is not critical, that may be a cost effective option. You can buy them at dykes, or cheaper if you shop around. 2 panel doors tend to be cheaper and more widely stocked. Flush doors, or 1 panel could also be options. Probably the cheapest door oddly is a 6-panel door. For whatever reason, that style is what home depot is stocking and manufacturers are churning out. For a rental, another question may be whether you care if the doors are solid or hollow. I’d pay up a few bucks for a solid core door even if I didn’t care about the appearance of the door in a rental much. I think the tenants will appreciate that.

I have a single door in excellent condition that I am looking to get rid of. Removed it a while back from a newly renovated garden level and have had it in my basement. Its yours for the taking if you are interested. Let me know and i’ll take pic and get dimensions.

rogue valley doors in penn makes the five panel. dykes sells them. special order. they are good doors. we often order shaker style and stick them out the way we need to.
