walls-in insurance policy
Our real estate lawyer just wrote that we need to have a “walls-in insurance policy” in place at the time of closing. Any recommendations for insurance companies? thanks.

And you can always up your coverage to your own specifications and desires. Some other insurance companies unfamiliar with brownstones will make you take off your historic window bars and such….

I have been using Brownstone for 25 years for my legal 4 family Brownstone in which I reside and have 2 rental units. They were clearly the least expensive when I first went with them and assume they still are for Brownstone houses. But cost of insurance is still costly and I admit have not shopped around. Would be interested if anyone has done so. Brownstone has always been responsive to my needs but would consider another insurer if less costly.

Right, you need homeowners insurance! Assuming you still are looking for recommendations after your lawyers typo, I had Policygenius help find me the best policy for me but worth doing your own research anyway, big differences in premiums and coverage.
