Vent facing neighbor?

Is it legal to construct a vent facing toward a neighbor’s property, on the roof? If so, how close it can it be?

@dorkofwindsor Some fuel-burning appliances vent out a side wall. Some homes don’t have access to the roof. Several reasons.

It is illegal to vent or drain onto your neighbors property.
Boiler flues, Commercial Kitchen exhausts etc I think are 10′ from a window?
Of course it depends what it is, because many plumbing vents, vent out through the roof, close to the property line…. Consult an expediter for a quick answer.
