Unico Expert?

I bought a house with a Unico system that barely works, so we use window units instead. Can anyone recommend someone to evaluate the system and make it function properly? It is apparently sized properly, but the ductwork may be the issue. I need someone who really knows Unicos, because most people don’t. Thanks!

Any competent HVAC company should be able to resolve your issue, doesn’t have to be a preferred installer. ask around for a reliable hvac contractor in Brooklyn.

The problem seems to be both air flow and temperature. I have contacted the only two contractors listed on the Unico website that cover NYC (I live in Brooklyn); one will not return calls, and the other provided a quote but seems only mildly interested in doing the work. I have also contacted companies on the Unico website in Westchester and NJ, but they have no interest in Bklyn work.

Second that advice. Warranty may not cover installation if the system was not originally installed by a contractor approved by Unico. Is the problem air flow, temperature or something else?

Go to the Unico website and click on ‘find a preferred installing contractor’. You should also verify the warranty, maybe it’s covered.
