Trimline Windows

I have them in my house and am happy with the quality and look. I went with the Legend series (wood w/ aluminum cladding) and a simulated divided light. Price was less than Marvin Ultimate.

I finally got the front Landmarked wood windows priced from a place that has Trimline… Surprisingly they were more expensive than the Marvins from a different place.

The main drawback of trimline windows is that they are pine, which is not a rot resistant wood. However with the aluminum cladding they will likely be ok. Trimline does offer other woods, but the cost no longer is as competitive.

They’re great windows. I have used them multiple times on jobs. They make them to your specs whereas most manufacturers only come in standard sizes.

I put in Trimline windows (E-300 Aluminum clad/wood interior) on my parlor floor a few years back and love them. Just about to replace my top floor with them as well. Got them through Windows We Are in Brooklyn.

I’ve read some good reviews for Trimline windows here, although there are few recent posts. We’re considering getting aluminum clad wood Trimline windows for the rear of our house.

Anyone out there have Trimline and can report how they’ve been holding up after a few years?

Also anyone know where is a good place to order Trimline from? Is there a showroom somewhere in Brooklyn? We’d like to order the windows and have our contractor install them.

The quality is decent. We had an all wood landmarks installation. They were supposed to come pre-painted. But the paint was a little thin and there were minor defects like slightly imperfect joints. Once painted up, you won’t be able to see any of this. And other window makers don’t even offer completely painted windows as an option. All in all, the quality was very good for a window half the price of a Marvin. Incidentally, we also got a Marvin installed in one window because the opening was larger than Trimline could accommodate. It was twice as expensive, but it oozed quality. I suppose it comes down to what you can afford. One issue with the Ultrafit system is that it is kind of difficult to follow the instructions and there are no online videos. Make sure you go with an experienced window company. Given a budget, I would go with an expensive installation and Trimline windows rather than Marvin windows and a crappy installation.
