tree house in 20x30' Brooklyn backyard

Hi,

my 6 y/o daughter nicely asked me to build a tree house in our backyard. I need some info on the subject. So far I found this:

“Treehouses are subject to the same rules as sheds; you don’t need a permit if they are less than 120sf, under 10ft high, at least 3ft from property lines, are built in the backyard, and if you are in a landmark area, are not visible from the street.”

I have a tree right in the corner of the back yard and I think I can build a structure which will be 3′ from the property line. How high it can be? Does it need to follow rules on the decks? Can I build 6′ high platform with a ladder attached to it?

Also anyone has any ideas or design for a simply constructions attached to the tree in the corner of the backyard?

I’d be impressed by something built in the tree but not ON the tree. Basically a supported deck with walls and a roof within the tree canopy. Also portholes you could fire arrows out at boys (or girls) 😛
