TR 1 & TR 8 Inspections recommendations

[Screen Shot 2019-03-06 at 12](//muut.com/u/brownstoner/s1/:brownstoner:sftj:screenshot20190306at12.52.43pm.png.jpg)

I’ve attached a photo of the TR1 & TR8 inspections that we require. I am wondering if anyone has a recommendation for an inspector to carry these out. A ballpark figure for what it should cost would also be great.

Thanks,

Jess

Call Michael Kokoszka from Franklin & Oak. They have a posting in the Services section of this website. Michael is a pleasure to work with and is very thorough. Highly recommended.

Jess – Have you asked your architect if s/he can do these? Architects are allowed to sign off on many inspections on 1- & 2-family buildings without any special registration. Many architects are now getting registered to do more inspections, in particular on their own jobs. We got registered and started doing our own a few years ago, because it’s much cheaper for our clients to have us do it during the normal course of construction administration, rather than paying outside engineers to make special trips.

If not, you can call or email me, and I’ll see if the work is such that I would be able to help you out.

In answer to your question, I think an engineer who does Special Inspections would likely charge $3,000 or more for these.
