Tin and Copper gutters

Our cornice gutter is the original tin gutter. We are keen to hire out one of the following:

A) Patch and repair punctures with new tin
B) Replace with copper

However, most exterior contractors we call just want to tear it out and put bituminous roofing over it. Can anyone recommend someone who specializes in the above?

Colonial, if you need a stop gap measure on the leaks in the tin, they can be stopped using membrane and karnack 19. I am not suggesting this as a permanant solution as it sounds like you do things right, but it will work. I had patched a tin roof that way when i lived in a southern state where tin roofs were popular. Could get more than a couple years out if it.
