what is reasonable?

so this is the burden the elevator companies have placed on them by the city: All of the mechanics and the owners have to be trained and certified by the same organization and the mechanics probably have to be members of the same union. on top of that, because elevators are known to cut people in half when things go wrong, they all have to carry the same liability insurance and the same protection (worker’s comp) on their employees. Someone recently told me they bill at like $700 per hour outside of contract.

i have an annual service contract on my desk now for a hydro with 3 landings for $360 a month. i have not dealt with this company yet. i have this contract in front of my as the result of some consulting i am doing for a client and cannot reveal too much here, but if 360 a month sounds good, you can email me and i will give you the name of the company. know that this is for a small building with limited traffic.
