Temporary Walls?

I have a second floor two bedroom apartment to rent. Prospective tenants are interested in putting up a temporary wall in the area about the entry-way. This means that there would be space for a window and for the minimum square footage for a bedroom. Would I need DOB permits for this? Would this have an impact on my insurance? If it is possible, can anyone recommend a reputable company? Thanks!
