Sump pump puddle puzzle
Hello.
I am trying to figure out the source of some water seepage in our basement and I am stumped. The pattern of water seepage is consistent with that which appears when our sump pump isn’t operational. Last week I put in a new pump, and it is working fine, and the water level in the sump is consistently 6-8 inches below the floor level. The discharge hose is also new and there are no leaks spraying water outside the sump hole. The previous pump was non-operational for around 3 days, but that was a week ago, and AFAIK the water level never rose above the floor level. If anything the quantity of seepage is increasing since I replaced the pump. Any outside-the-(sump)box ideas?
Thanks in advance,
