Stoop Entrance Rain Cover

We are looking for a means to keep rain and snow out of the gated area below the stoop, but several of the metal awnings we are seeing are simply ugly.

Could anyone suggest sources or ideas for getting something like this taken care of?

there is a place near me in Glendale. I think it is Glendale awning. they did my neighbors. my is just a rectangle from a mail order.

Green Thinker: we have an unusually shaped area where the awning would go, so store-bought products are out. We need a custom solution.

no-permitz: the house previously had a very slap-dash one and the gate is very near the outside, so I suspect that we do. A drywall sounds interesting, but our foundation already weeps considerably in rainy weather so I’m not sure I want to direct more water directly at it from below grade, or do you think there would be more general dissipation with a dry well than there would be by simple redirection with an awning?

Check out polycarbonate awnings, something like the “Palram Venus 1350”; the same company that makes that has several different stylings.

we went with brown canvas because it was attractive and reasonably priced. found it on the ‘net. also seems to last long. I kind of copied my neighbor and hers has been there for years. like more than 10.
