Stair repair desperately needed in our 1890's Brownstone! Any recommendations?

We LOVE our old creaky staircase from the 1890s but its now time to fix the broken parts, currently under thick carpet… Can anyone recommend local companies or carpenters who are good at this? Any one know anything about SOXCO or Santos? It is seems so hard to find someone to restore and repair, not rip out and replace… Anyone used All American Stairs & Railings in Queens?

Yes! We used All American and they were very good. They can use any wood and for my stair I paid a little more for rift-sawn white oak treads. They used the little cove and lattice moldings so the detailing is exactly like the original and they reused the original balusters. The only downside is that they don’t do the finishing. I stained the treads and painted the risers myself and it came out pretty nice.
