I’m not sure if NRG covers your area but I’ve heard good things about them.

Thanks, resident2! So far I have spoken with Venture Solar, but would like to get a 2nd or 3rd quote. The other solar company that I have seen mentioned in this Forum only does flat roofs.

Yes, in Nassau County.
Typical pitched roofs are easier for installation, but of course it depends on the direction the roof faces & pitches to get the most sun. The vast majority of Solar Panels are on pitched roofs outside NYC. Because pitched roofs are the norm outside NYC.
I would not recommend the company that I used. They did a good job, but their politics (personal views) leaves much to be worried about, but they only work in Nassau County anyway.
Things to consider; how old is the roof the panels are going on? Best to get new roof and Panels at the same time. Try and find a good local company to where you are.
The more direct south facing slope you have the better.
My electric bills are now virtually nothing; I just pay the connection to the Grid fee & of course the sales taxes accordingly. Run A/C all summer & I augment my heating in the winter so my Gas bills have gone down too.
