smells like weed in my house

we started to notice a strong weed smell in our downstairs bathroom a few months ago. we live in bushwick in a poorly insulated wood frame house. the wall connected to where the smell is coming form is abandoned. i thought maybe it was a grow house, but i NEVER see anyone go in and out. now the baby room upstairs smells like weed. we honestly have no idea how this smell is filtering into our house..the neighbors on the other side smoke alot…but i cannot imagine how it would be possible for that smell to migrate all the way to the other side of the house? its really bugging me. any ideas????

If there are people squatting in the building next to yours you should be concerned. A few calls to 311 may be in order. You should call multiple times in a week to trigger someone coming out.

A while back a developer bought the neighbors house, renovated and left the brick exposed. Weed smoker tenants moved and we could smell it. They moved out after a year. The other side was brick exposed and the neighbor smells kitchen food as the kitchen is on that side. Noise filtrates now as well. For now the hope is for quiet and non-smokers neighbors. In the future, our place will need a renovation and hopefully there is a solution.

I can smell it through the walls of my brownstone also. My one neighbor smokes it in her ground floor so I smell it in my foyer and then the pot head on the other side just smokes weed all the time….
