before you chose your planner get the electrician and plumber in for a free estimate so you know the realty of the placement. some designers know very little about placing plumbing and electricity. the design might look good on paper, it might not be usable.

i had my kitchen measured by an ikea planner. the new planning service is messy. the person stays 4 hours and accomplishes less than the old way. the plan i received had serious plumbing mistakes. the plumber told me not to use it. i am lucky i didn’t order the cabinetry from the plan. i still want their cabinets not their plan. it was like throwing money away. it cost me $250. i am in manhattan.
