I bought sheer curtains at IKEA, had a dry cleaner cut them down to size and then used very small, spring loaded curtain rods from Home Depot or Lowes that are completely hidden within the curtain pocket. The Ikea curtains were incredibly cheap (probably cheaper than I could buy the material) and saved because the dry cleaner did not need to create the pocket.

I wanted a modern design so bought a sheer curtain panel and cut it down to size. The dry cleaner will do this for you if you don’t have a sewing machine. I weighted the hem with a cotton wrapped lead cord which you can buy online. For more traditional designs, try Country Curtains.
