Seltzer maker
Has anyone installed (or have) a seltzer gun/dispenser in their home? I use a countertop SodaStream now and not sure I want to be limited to the Samsung fridge that has the SodaStream in the door when I redo my kitchen. I’m a pretty heavy seltzer drinker so I’m contemplating something where there’s a big CO2 tank and refrigerator thing I could install instead… Thanks for any insights!

Thanks, but was hoping to avoid having to prepare and store bottles. I was hoping for one of those guns that bartenders have OR some sort of water spigot that dispenses seltzer… Thoughts?

Very easy. You need to buy a regulator, valve, and hose with a male thread adapter that fits standard 1- or 2-quart plastic bottles, Google it. Less than $65. Also buy an old 4lb or 5lb CO2 tank (will ship empty..) Liberty Gas in RH will exchange for full tank ($22) which is good for about 500 quarts. You can get bigger tanks as well. Set pressure to 50 psi, bottle may not withstand higher. Do NOT use glass bottles!
It’s a little more tedious than the Sodastream as you have to shake the bottle for 20-30 secs to get a good fizz.
