Hi Dancingal, There are many factors in choosing an agent and agency. What are the comps being presented when pricing your home. How is your property going to be marketed, the reach the agent/agency has, are potential buyers pre-qualified, how are open houses handled. Large agency vs small agency = commission. Pros & cons on higher commission vs smaller commission. The most important factor is what can the agent do for you? Is there a trusting relationship? In the end, you are the “boss” and the agent’s fiduciary responsibility is to you. And by the way, I am a real estate agent and am happy to discuss further. Even if you choose someone else, I am happy to have a conversation with you as a fellow Brownstoner.

It depends on which neighborhood you are in. Choose someone that sells houses on a regular basis in your area.
Remember you list with an individual agent, not a company so the property will only be handled as well as the individual agent that you choose.
