Security Camera System

What are the options for security camera system beyond Ring and the other cloud-based storage systems ? Can an electrician install one?

There is a lot out there. I was responsible for having one system installed in a commercial building and maintaining others decades ago when this sort of thing was specialized. The people who did this work then were specialists. Today a homeowner can do it. The hardest part is running the wire. They have wireless units now but the one i have would lose its connection and have to be rebooted/connected.

You might not need an electrician or might need a low voltage electrician.
