Schnall Redux

I realize this topic comes up every couple of months but a lot of the posts have been helpful. With Schnall, we had a relatively modest Alt 2 for Directive 14 sign off (filed TR1, TR8, PW3, PW1, PW1B; electrical inspection passed). Ready to hire someone to finally close out. A couple of questions.

1) This has been asked before but it’s worth asking again: any additional recommendations for an expeditor that can supersede at a reasonable price would be highly appreciated–particularly if they handled superseding Schnall. Again, everything was basically done apart from the electrical inspection and final plumbing sign-off when he lost his filing privileges. The plans DOB approved were very simple.

2) Has anyone had any success hiring an expediter to close our the job without changing Schnall as the architect of record? It appears that all of the documents filed can be signed off by a special inspectors, homeowners, or expeditors. Could I just hire a Level 2 Filing Representative to help me close out the job without involving another registered architect.

I have a great expediter if you need her. I’m sure she has probably done a lot of superseding Scott by now. I have a return favor to ask. I need to get his EIN to file the loss since I pad him for work he never did. Do you (or anyone) have his EIN from your 1099 filings? I’d happily make contact with you to trade! Thanks! Vivian
