RSS for Forum Only?

Before the recent redesign I had the Form updated automatically on an RSS reader. Now I can’t seem to get just the Forum. Anyone know of a way to do it?

Thanks Cate. I don’t think this is not what we are looking for. The first feed is what I am looking at now, but it shows of the replies as individual items rather than just showing the main topic items. So, if there is a popular post, the RSS feed is dominated by reply-to’s for that post. The second two feeds are even more useless for the same reason along with the fact that they are even more granular. PLus there appears to be about 130 individual forums now? There really needs to be a way to just see all of the topics regardless of individual category, or you need to pair the categories down. This applies to both the RSS feed and the web site.

Hi all. Turns out there is a way to get an RSS feed. Add “feed” to the end of the URL you want to follow. So, for example, to follow the entire Forum, use this: http://brownstoner.staging.wpengine.com/forums/feed/ To following an individual forum, use this: http://brownstoner.staging.wpengine.com/forums/forum/general-discussion/feed/ To follow an individual topic, try this: http://brownstoner.staging.wpengine.com/forums/topic/rss-for-forum-only/feed/ Thanks!

i too find the new forum design clumsy at best…you have to pick a forum????? and editing your posts has become painfully difficult cate are you reading these comments?

I had the same question and I emailed brownstoner, but was ignored. I have to say, the look and feel of this forum is nicer, but the functionality absolutely sucks. What happened to all of the complaints of having to surf a bunch of categories. The forum is pretty much unusable unless you have the time to click into a bunch categories. Gone are the days where you could skim the new topics and quickly read or reply to the ones that interest you.
