Roofers

Hi, My roof has been leaking with all of the heavy rains. Can anyone recommend a roofer they have used and had a good experience with? I have had a roofer come out and gotten one estimate so far. I’d like to get a couple more before I make a decision. Thank you.

We got many quotes and went with Samm from Almirs (718) 864-4549 http://almirsconstructioninc.com/ – Samm and his team did an amazing job with our roof (needed a complete tear off after ice dams, way too many layers, etc. caused leaks one winter.) He also repainted our cornice and replaced our skylights. We were really happy with his work and his team. He communicated all details, was on time and efficient and neat and has followed up to check to see how everything is years on. I’ve reco’d him to many people since and they have also been very happy. Good Luck!

You can try Gino from Fabulous Roofing. They redid our roof last year. Definitely agree to get more quotes and also details on materials and work to compare.

When we redid ours I got estimates from Premier, Greene Roofing, and another place. I went with Greene Roofing and they were great. They were also more professional seeming than Premier, had a receptionist, and have been in business for many years. Certainly worth getting an estimate. I don’t think Leakmasters is around any more.

We used premier. They were 2-3x the cost of any other company and the roof sure looks pretty but it wasn’t the revelatory experience I’ve heard from so many people on this forum. We had a minor issue, contacted them last year, and haven’t heard back as well. The workers were also going to leave a mess on our deck until I asked them to clean up after themselves and they weren’t happy about it. For the money I didn’t think I’d have to ask.

Other than that, they are very on point with communication (as far as contractors go), and I am sure the work is of high quality and they are on time/budget so I have no real beef with them, just be aware that you could probably get a very solid, functional roof from someone else for much less.

my old coop building used premier for a new roof and was pretty happy… there was a guy named Nick I think at a place I remember being called Leakmasters who used to be recommended on here… not sure if anyone has current info for him or if you can find him with the google, but that’s another one to try. I was in touch with him at one point but never did hire him I can’t remember now why not I remember he was very busy and I think our problem went away

Fred did a new layer on my roof 4 years ago and came back recently to replace the old wooden hatch. His prices were reasonable and he has been easy to reach. The work seems good. His number i‭s (917) 548-3995‬
