Restore door

Does anyone have recommendations on companies that can restore a wood/glass door. Not in horrible condition, but the lock needs fixing and could use a repaint.

If you honestly feel it only needs paint, find a good painter. If it needs some prep work with the painting, sanding to smooth out 80 years of sloppy painting and filling dings and priming, painting and sanding again before two more coats – find a really good painter. A painter who understands that prep work is the job, not splashing a brush around like we did in kindergarten.

Good luck finding that painter.

Have a locksmith do the lock. Maybe do the lock first that way the painter can take care of what the new lock does not cover.

I have just told you the economical way to do this and in the olden days in the 1970’s when i was a kid this is what you would have done.
