Request Rec for repair of Soffit and Fascia under Eaves

I need to replace a rotted soffit panel under the eaves under my back deck. Does anyone know if the likely cause of it the rot may be that it did not have vents built into it?
As part of the repair, I’ll probably have to also replace the fascia and aluminum soffit.
What kind of contractor is best for this project? A Roofer?
