Repairing Wood Floors

I have some old wood floors that I have sanded and would like to stain. There are some 1/2″ gaps that need to be filled. What are some good ways to do this? [20428320_10159074694635150_458573402_n](//muut.com/u/brownstoner/s1/:brownstoner:fGXl:20428320_10159074694635150_458573402_n.jpg.jpg)

Your floor is an old sub floor not a finished floor. If you plan on using it as a finished floor you can fill the gaps with a strong wood fill like an epoxy . However the filler may crack with movement on the floor. It is difficult to prevent cracking because because wood expands and contracts and you are walking on it. Typically a finished hardwood would be installed over a floor like that.
