repairing exterior door?

We would like to replace our exterior door by a French door, which may be too expensive. Just to look into all possibilities – am I right in thinking that it would not be feasible to repair the existing single door? It is in bad shape. I hope I can see how to post a photo.

You should be hiring me to do an extended home inspection there. Not a buyer’s inspection. You can follow me we a pad and fire questions at me and i will talk. Roof down.
