I’d like to think that 5 years isn’t old for a dishwasher and it’s worth repairing. Our first dishwasher [a Kitchenaide] lasted >30 yearas and our “new” Bosch is >10 years old with no problems. FWIW I use a good appliance repair service [Len’s Appliance repair] but I doubt that they’d go to NJ, which is why I suggested asking your neighbors for a recommendation.

I have a 5 year old LG dishwasher LDS5811ST-01 – no Error Code is displayed but the heating element remains stuck on when the door is closed and no cycle started.

Any ideas as to what the problem might be would be be helpful. Also, given the age of the dishwasher – is this a repair or replace issue?
