range hood duct work installer

Hey. we just redid our kitchen and installed a very powerful miele range hood. and it has not been working at all . the miele technician said they ducts need to be 9 inches (we currently have 4 inches) i have not been succesful finding someone to install/fix the issue. most of the contractors only do commercial work. any suggestions…recommendations? thanks so much
